Irregularities are cases when the conditions of contract between the passenger and the carrier are not observed. They include canceled, diverted and delayed flights, overbooked and misconnected flights and other situations where a carrier is required to handle passengers in a non-ordinary way.
The maximum period of absorption is 24 hours.
Expenses shall not be absorbed if there is – within 24 hours – an onward connecting service of any IATA carrier to the passenger destination, but the passenger does not depart from the connecting point within this period.
Exceptions to the standard conditions, prohibitions of absorption of expenses to passengers traveling at special fares, are reflected in the respective APT Fare Note.
